We Help Relocations Go More Smoothly
Immigration to Canada is on the rise. Statistics indicate that Toronto alone receives approximately 100,000 new residents each year, mostly due to immigration, but also due to people relocating from other parts of Canada.
As a country, Canada enjoys a secure and resource-rich economy, a stable political environment and is considered to be a relatively desirable place to live in comparison to the rest of the globe. As Canada’s largest and most dynamic city, Toronto has established itself as a safe, clean, multi-cultural city with a vibrant arts & entertainment scene, and plenty of job and career opportunities.
A few other things play a key role in making Toronto a global immigration and relocation destination, including:
- Toronto’s proximity to the US border (a 90 minute drive).
- Toronto is home to the University of Toronto, a globally recognized ivy-league level university, and a one-hour drive from another university of arguably even higher caliber: the University of Waterloo, which has been called “MIT North” by many companies and tech industry leaders.
- A robust and world-renowned health care system, which has contributed to the rise of birth tourism in Canada and promotes Canada as an ideal place to raise children.
Sky View Suites recently produced an interesting relocation infographic: The infographic illustrates many of the potential paths to immigrate from the United States to Canada, in a fun, illustrative way - How to Immigrate to Canada from the USA.

If you’re arriving in the summer, we would highly recommend you set aside some time to visit the city’s beautiful waterfront (with tons of fun activities and events for all ages), the CN Tower (one of the tallest structures in the world) and the Toronto Islands (just a short ferry ride away).
If you’re arriving in the winter, make sure to dress warm! Reading about Canadian winters and experiencing one first-hand are two completely different things. Having said that, don’t be discouraged. There are plenty of exciting things to do in or near Toronto, even in the winter. Enjoy one of our many winter festivals, or maybe learn to skate at one of several outdoor skating rinks in downtown Toronto. There are also several high-quality ski resorts within a two-hour drive of the city.
