If you’re arriving in the summer, we would highly recommend you set aside some time to visit the city’s beautiful waterfront (with tons of fun activities and events for all ages), the CN Tower (one of the tallest structures in the world) and the Toronto Islands (just a short ferry ride away).

If you’re arriving in the winter, make sure to dress warm! Reading about Canadian winters and experiencing one first-hand are two completely different things. Having said that, don’t be discouraged. There are plenty of exciting things to do in or near Toronto, even in the winter. Enjoy one of our many winter festivals, or maybe learn to skate at one of several outdoor skating rinks in downtown Toronto. There are also several high-quality ski resorts within a two-hour drive of the city.
