Toronto has seen a marked increase in film and television productions in the last two decades. There are many reasons why Toronto has become a great location to produce feature films and television shows. Not least of all is the value Hollywood and other American production companies can leverage from the Canadian / US dollar exchange rate. That has certainly helped to spark interest in Toronto from our southern neighbours, but other reasons which keep production companies coming back include:
- Toronto is a beautiful, diverse and cosmopolitan city with various environments (including rich / upscale, densely urban, various residential and ethnic neighbourhoods). It also has large parks and ample greenery that changes colorfully throughout four distinct seasons. It has been called “the Manhattan of the north”, and appropriately so, as it has often been used as a double for movies and shows set in New York and other world-class American cities.
- The Toronto municipal government is easy to work with in terms of film permits and keeps the related fees reasonably low in order to continue attracting productions to the city.
- A vibrant market for competent local talent, in terms of both cast and crew.
- The emergence of the annual Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) as a globally renowned industry event.
Combined with an already-present healthy theater and music scene (due largely in part to our very own Mr. David Mirvish), Toronto is now host to more visiting artists, performers, actors and other entertainment professionals than ever before.

For agents, personal assistants and talent managers, we can work with you remotely to help you through our simple and seamless lease process (which can all be finalized over email and phone). Also, we understand that in the entertainment industry, schedules can change quickly and unexpectedly. As a result of managing a large exclusive inventory of fully furnished suites, we are often able to offer immediate / same-day move-in at many locations across the city. This saves our clients hassle of an interim stay at a hotel.
We offer a wide variety of quality furnished apartments, all of which are fully furnished, professionally decorated and diligently serviced by our dedicated team. Our staff is discreet, responsive and accessible for any accommodation-related needs you might have during your stay with us. In many of our properties, our clients can also enjoy the use of hotel-style amenities such as fitness centers and swimming pools, to help you unwind and relax during your precious time away from the set.
If you’re planning on having friends and relatives visit you while you’re on location here in Toronto, you’ll be happy to know that almost all of our suites come equipped with a comfortable pull-out sofa.
